It’s hard to imagine it’s August 2021 already! We have been working diligently throughout the pandemic to ensure everyone has been safe and sound. And even though the provincial safety restrictions have been relaxed, it’s important that you know we still are maintaining rigid cleanliness standards while ensuring we provide the best care for your pet.
I just want to take a moment to remind all of our clients how important it is for you to keep your pet’s vaccinations up to date. At Furbaby Pet Care we require each dog to have received:
- Bordetella/Kennel Cough – this is an optional vaccine when you get your pets vaccinated, don’t forget to ask your vet for it!
- Distemper / Parvo (DHLPP)
- Rabies
Cats should have Rabies and Feline Influenza vaccines. We do require the certification or paperwork for these vaccines, which is then entered into your pet’s profile and updated when necessary. And we do check your vaccination records. For example, if your pet is coming to stay with us for the weekend, we will ensure the vaccination records are current prior to admission. To avoid disappointment, please do your best to keep your pet’s vaccinations records up to date. Have your vet email your current vaccination records to reservations@furbabysk.ca when you get them done!
With the seasons about to change again, I am going to gently remind you that it’s in your best interest to book your pet’s stay with us in advance. We are having a remarkably busy summer in our daycare and boarding and there were some times, unfortunately, when we had to turn away those last-minute requests. Since we are heading into the school season, and (yes) other holidays are coming up too, think in advance and consider pre-booking your dog or cat’s stay in advance using our Gingr online booking system.
If you cannot get to us, we can come to you for convenient in-home services. At Furbaby Pet Care, our mobile services are available for you whenever you might need us. Our staff is licensed, insured and bonded! We offer:
- Dog walking;
- In-home pet visits (includes feeding, potty breaks, cleaning litter, refresh of water…and more upon request);
- Pet transport (to and from Furbaby Campus or anywhere else in the city);
- Pet sitting.
