Our Priority is your Pet:

Hello, dear pet parents! At Furbaby Pet Care, our top priority is the health and happiness of our four-legged guests. A vital part of our care involves preventing kennel cough, a common issue in dog care facilities. It’s essential to remember that kennel cough is typically brought into facilities, not created within them. Let’s look at how we can collaborate to maintain the health of our beloved pups!

Understanding Kennel Cough:

Kennel cough, often caused by the Bordetella bacterium, is a highly contagious respiratory disease that can quickly spread in social dog settings. Key symptoms to be aware of include a persistent cough, sneezing, and nasal discharge. Being familiar with these signs can help in early detection and prevention.

Furbaby Pet Care’s Proactive Measures:

At Furbaby Pet Care, we’re always vigilant for any signs of illness, including kennel cough. If we notice a dog showing symptoms, we immediately contact their family to pick them up, helping to prevent the illness from spreading to other dogs.

Our Kennel Cough Protocol:

If a dog is diagnosed with kennel cough, our policy is clear: they must be symptom-free for at least two weeks or have a signed veterinarian’s note confirming they are not contagious before returning to our campus. We also rely on the honesty of pet owners about their dog’s health when they arrive. If symptoms of Bordetella are observed, we will promptly ask the parents to take their dog home.

Working Together for Healthier Pups:

The effort to keep kennel cough at bay is a community responsibility. Your transparency about your dog’s health is vital in this joint effort. We also uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at our facility to reduce the risk of any illnesses spreading.

Thank you for your cooperation:

At Furbaby Pet Care, we are wholeheartedly committed to providing a safe, healthy, and enjoyable environment for all our furry guests. By staying alert and working together, we can effectively prevent the spread of kennel cough, ensuring a great experience for every dog that visits our facility.
